How does Genesis Speed Dating Work?
Just six easy steps:
1) Book your place
This is best done online – it’s very simple, and you’ll get email confirmation of your booking.
You can also pay by cheque or bankers draft.
2) Arrive in good time
Arrive in time to register with the hostess who will explain how the evening works.
3) Enjoy the event
When everybody has registered, your hostess will give a brief
explanation of how the evening works, after which you will take your
allocated seat. Both ladies & gents will circulate.
As you complete your mini introductions, you can complete your "record" card to remind yourself of each person you have met.
4) Decide who you would like to meet again
At the end of each 5 minute conversation, if you wish to meet this
person again, you simply provide your contact details (i.e. email
address and/or contact number) on the form supplied, which then goes
into that person's envelope.
5) Take away your envelope
You are welcome to stay on and make better acquaintance.
6) Check your envelope for contact details!

Details:
We simply arrange a venue and invite up to 30 unattached people of
both genders to come along and meet new people. Here is how it works:
Registration takes place between 7.30 and 8.00pm where you will be given a badge with your first name on it and a "record" card.
Your hostess will give a short welcome and a brief explanation.
Everyone then sits at their assigned table and will rotate from one
table to the next after spending 5 minutes in the company of each
person.
Your hostess will announce it is time to move to the next table
by saying either ‘men move’ or ‘ladies move’.
In this way, everyone gets moving!
Short breaks are organised during the course of the evening. This
facilitates keeping people fresh as well as their personal
notes/"record" cards!
However, momentum is not lost.
At the end of each 5 minute introduction, both participants hand each other their own envelope. Both of them, then, have the opportunity, in privacy, to put into the other person's envelope,
their personal contact details, if they wish to meet this person again.
This is all conducted in a very discrete, private manner.
By the end of the event, when you have had all your introductions,
you will now have your own personal envelope - which you keep with you
at all times - containing the contact details of those people who would
like to meet you again.
With your introductions completed, you are most welcome to stay and
enjoy the rest of the evening. Who knows who you will end up talking
with!
If no one has left a contact email address or mobile, you can then
register for the next Genesis Speed Dating event that suits your age
category!
