Genesis Speed Dating - Frequently Asked Questions
Who normally attends?
We attract friendly and open-minded people from many different
career backgrounds. People who are looking for a fun night out, in a
relaxed setting, with something different from the regular bar and
night-club scene.
How much does it cost?
To attend each event costs €35.00.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual dress is required.
What happens upon arrival?
You are greeted by your hostess, receive your name tag, record card and shown to your table.
Are there breaks during the evening?
Unlike other Speed Dating companies, we take the 'tiresome' factor
out of the night by ensuring you have a '5 minute break' every 30
minutes.
How long does each introduction/chat last?
Each couple is allocated 5 minutes to chat - Sufficient time to
establish whether or not you would like to invest a few hours getting
to know each other better on a further date.
How soon do I receive my matches?
You receive your matches on the evening of the event itself, unlike other Speed Dating companies!
How do I reserve my place at an event?
To reserve your place, simply log on to www.genesisclub.ie, select
'Genesis Speed Dating', click on Venues', and then follow instructions
to book.
Can I book over the phone?
Yes. You can book over the phone by calling the office on
01-499-504. If the office is unattended, please leave your contact
details. All calls are returned.
I forgot my user name and password, what do I do?
Call the office on 01-499-1504!
Do I need to register on-line before I can book on-line for an event?
Yes, and to register all you have to do is provide us with your email address. There is no cost for registration.
What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay on-line using most credit cards, or send a bankers draft/cheque to:
Genuine Introductions Limited, 23 Fortfield Square, Terenure, Dublin 6.
What age categories are there?
Age categories have been carefully selected to ensure an enjoyable
night for everybody. The age categories are as follows:
23-33:28-38:35-47: 45-57+
Do I have to be in the age limit to attend?
The age range is a guideline only.
Can I bring friends along?
Yes, provided they are single/unattached and have notified us, before the event, in order for us to register their names.
Where are the events held?
Our venues are carefully selected to ensure a relaxed atmosphere is
achieved with easy access to public transport. See our website on

We advise people to talk about their hobbies, sports & leisure
interests, current affairs rather than their business interests.
Will I feel out of place coming on my own?
Definitely not! You'll get a warm friendly welcome and we'll make
sure you have a great time. After all, you are coming because you are
single! This is your opportunity to make new friends and possibly meet
that special other person.
Will five minutes be long enough?
Five minutes will be long enough for those you want to meet again,
and short enough for those you definitely don't! Making notes about the
people you chat with will help you remember them, when your matches
come through!
How does Genesis Speed Dating differ from others?

Do I need to prepare questions before the event?
No, but just think of a few subjects you might enjoy discussing e.g.
sport, politics, holidays - keep it non-personal, and keep it simple!
